IR-Corrected Lenses Providing Clear Images Even at Night
Light is comprised of a continuous wavelength spectrum, with visible light at a range of 450 to 700 nm and infrared (IR) at 850 nm. Typical lenses only correct chromatic aberration in the visible light region. With a typical lens, images are partially crushed in environments where infrared (IR) and visible light spectra exist simultaneously. We utilize a special technology that eliminates this phenomenon by matching the focus of IR and visible light to obtain a clear picture even at night. Furthermore, we've applied this technology to high-magnification zoom lenses and launched the world's first IR-corrected IR PTZ.
Zoom IR Illuminator Optimizing Dimming and Brightness Changes
There is increasing demand for IR PTZ products with the ability to clearly capture objects at a long range with the use of IR illumination. Hanwha Techwin has developed an IR illuminator that changes the area of IR illumination according to changes in a camera's zoom magnification, allowing clear imaging of objects from wide to telephoto angles. Furthermore, high-efficiency lighting systems are implemented using high-power LEDs. (IR light visible from a distance of about 150 m; SNP-6320RH model)
High-Magnification and High-Resolution Lenses Designed for Improved Detection Accuracy
High-magnification requires high-resolution zoom lenses, an optical system comprised of multiple lenses as well as driving units. Typical optical systems consist of two driving units and are limited in meeting the increasing demand for higher magnification and resolution. To meet the changing demands, we have developed a lens consisting of three or more driving units, which helped us to launch products superior to those of our competitors.
Wisenet DSP Chipset Design, Our Core Video Technology
Hanwha Techwin possesses outstanding level of design capabilities, evident in our Wisenet network DSP chipset, which was mastered through years of image-processing know-how accumulated from the days of analog cameras. The Wisenet DSP chipset, developed and launched through proprietary technologies, supports high resolution images and features ISP performance that are distinguishable from our competitors. Wisenet DSP is also equipped with emerging video analytics technologies (face/motion detection, etc.) that are considered necessary in the current video surveillance market.
WiseStream, the Highly Efficient Data Transfer Reduction Technology
Hanwha Techwin implements WiseStream technology that optimizes data transfer to meet the demands for increasingly-higher resolution products (4K UHD or greater). By utilizing our Variable GOV technology to adjust frame rates and ROI technology to separate areas of interest from non-interest, bandwidth can be reduced by more than 50% compared to the original image. Additionally, our users can obtain high quality images at lower data than our competitors through noise reduction and QP control.
World-Class Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
Hanwha Techwin possesses world-class WDR technology capable of providing a clear image in any lighting condition. Through manipulating the exposure rate, images are created in backlit environments. The brightness in light and dark areas are optimized, resulting in clear images to the user. Depending on the environment, up to four images are combined to generate a clearer, more natural image.
Robust Image Stabilization (DIS + Gyro)
Our products correct the effects of vibration caused by environmental factors, such as wind, through our proprietary image stabilization technology (DIS + gyro) while also compensating for rolling shutter effects.

A single moving object is recognized and tracked using automatic PTZ camera control with a continuous tracking rate superior to those of competitors. High resolution images can be obtained via face detection and optical zoom. Temporal and spatial information regarding a subject can be acquired by collecting motion locus data between trackings.
This technology counts objects that pass through a virtual line within a shooting area, providing excellent accuracy without the need for complicated setup. It can be utilized for a variety of purposes including building entry statistics, monitoring access to specific areas, customer preferences statistics, and people density calculations.
Object Detection and Classification
This deep-learning-based object detection and classification technology supports a variety of poses and even partial occlusion not available in other existing technologies. Our technology is able to classify people, bottles, chairs, tables, flower pots, sofas, TVs/monitors, and etc. This technology supports customized object recognition and is applicable to traffic control systems. (Vehicles: license plate detection; People: Face detection, presence of people on highways, vehicle traffic on sidewalks, etc.)

We conduct various verifications for product reliability from the development stage to the eventual sale of a product. Our QA team tests the performance of products professionally and provides guides such as a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) Report to predict the service life of a product.

We accelerate testing and breakdown by creating testing conditions (temperature, vibration, current, etc.) to be harsher than actual usage conditions, thereby eliminating in advance any product defects that may occur in real-world scenarios.
Operating Temperature & Humidity Test (High/Low Temp & Humidity)
We conduct operating tests at various temperatures and humidity to prevent possible product failures in any physical environments.
We perform electrostatic testing to check electrical resistance and ensure power reliability, making sure that products and parts operate normally when static electricity is generated.
