New Customized AI Solutions at GSX 2022

Hanwha Techwin promotes

new customized AI solutions at GSX 2022

ATLANTA, SEPTEMBER 21st 2022: As a key player in video surveillance market, Hanwha Techwin have successfully participated GSX 2022 from September 12th to 14th at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

GSX 2022 (Global Security Exchange), hosted by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), is one of the largest security exhibitions in North America which various security solution providers and customers participate to experience the state-of-the art security solutions. Hanwha Techwin had the strongest presence at GSX among its key competitors and had the second largest booth with the most number of new product introductions.

This year, Hanwha Techwin mainly promotes its “Wisenet EDGE”, which combines a dome camera, Wisenet WAVE Server, and on-board recording capabilities into one intelligent device. The new technology is ideal for security environments suited for a server less system with minimal external hardware. Wisenet EDGE is available with either 1 TB or 2 TB of on-board Solid State Drive (SSD) storage, with a flexible architecture that allows users to record multiple additional cameras to one Wisenet EDGE camera acting as a system’s server. Wisenet EDGE systems can be easily merged, expanding beyond single-camera installations to create multi-site systems connecting dozens of cameras. This solution will fully comply with the future customer environment.

The AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology was successfully blended into its P and X series product line, already being active in the market. With edge-based AI, the data is analyzed by the camera first, and subsequently sent to the server. This reduces the burden of transferring and storing large amounts of data to a server, thereby increasing efficiency, saving time, and reducing server costs typically required to analyze data. It increases event monitoring accuracy by reducing false alarm, classifies target objects with attributes (attributes feature only available on P series AI cameras) and AI search capability. Along with Wisenet EDGE and its Edge based AI, “WiseDetector” has also attracted many attendees at the show. It is a technology used for image analysis by self-learning the target object in accordance with each customer environment.

An official from Hanwha Techwin mentioned that they will further solidify the vision of a global video security company by responding customers with innovative technologies and industrial solutions, since customer requirements in the global security market are changing faster and more specific in the past few years with the new products and solutions by utilizing AI and cloud technology convergence.
