Hanwha Techwin, a leading global security company, has received two prestigious awards for its Wisenet X Plus camera released earlier this year. One of the recognitions came from ‘The Govies Government Security Awards (The Govies)’, in which the device was designated for Platinum in the HD video surveillance camera category by Security Today and it was also named a winner in the ‘Money-Saving Products’ category by Buildings Media.
‘The Govies’ is hosted by industry-leading security products magazine, Security Today which offers important information to the government security market. The awards honors outstanding government security products of the year based on criteria such as quality, level of innovation, user friendliness and others. The Buildings Media serves more than 74,000 commercial building owners and facility managers in North America and provides valuable information for smarter management, operation and renovation of facilities. The ‘Money-Saving Products’ awards is evaluated by the editorial staffs for the products’ money-saving qualities such as energy efficiency, water savings and maintenance.
The Wisenet X Plus series, although newly launched in February, has once again proved its technological leadership and competitiveness in the global video security field by winning these two highly contested awards. The series is equipped with all the core technologies found in the previous Wisenet X series, and the device’s new modular design, magnet connection, and installer-friendly package add values by ensuring the product’s effortless construction to facilitate an intuitive and fast installation process. This allows the users to freely combine and separate the product whenever installation, service, and upgrade is needed maximizing user convenience while minimizing installation time and effort.
Furthermore, the camera’s tilt angle has been extended for greater flexibility in camera placement and use cases. While the conventional tilt angle remains at 67 degrees, the X Plus camera features an extended tilt range of up to 85 degrees. The guaranteed wider coverage is particularly welcomed when it’s installed in low-ceilinged places satisfying the users’ desire for greater viewing flexibility.
The second recognition came from ‘New Product Showcase Awards’ by Security Industry Association (SIA), which has announced Hanwha Techwin’s multi-sensor camera, PNM-9000VQ, a winner in the Video Surveillance Cameras HD category. As the flagship awards program of ISC West, the awards recognize innovative security products, services and solutions and has been the security industry’s premier awards-based marketing program since its inception in 1979.
This award-winning PNM-9000VQ camera has four sensors in one camera with two selectable and re-positional 2MP/5MP lenses, allowing 360° simultaneous monitoring to eliminate all blind spots. This makes the device ideal for monitoring large areas such as bustling shopping mall entrances, lobbies and airports. Also, the camera has recently won the Gold award at the ‘2018 ASTORS Homeland Security Awards’ for its innovative features.
“Hanwha Techwin is honored to be recognized worldwide for its superior technology through the newly released Wisenet X Plus series and multi-sensor camera. By enhancing installation convenience, Wisenet X Plus is welcomed by both industry experts and beginners” said a source from Hanwha Techwin. He also added “Hanwha Techwin will stay committed to further expanding its R&D investment to develop pioneering video security solutions that reflect user needs.”
